We have an egg donation program in which the selection and evaluation of each donor is carried out following the parameters established by the American Society for Reproductive Medicine.

An opportunity to give life

Since 1984, egg donation has given thousands of women the chance to become pregnant and have their baby. It needs to be carried out in conjunction with In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) treatment, in which the donor’s egg is fertilized with the sperm, and the resulting embryo is transferred to the uterus, where it continues its normal development for 9 months until conception.

In which cases is egg donation recommended?

Egg donation is a vital resource for many women whose reproductive health is compromised by a variety of circumstances, such as:

Low ovarian reserve.

Low or no response to ovarian stimulation.

Implantation failure or who have failed to achieve pregnancy after at least three IVF cycles.

Premature ovarian failure.

Poor oocyte quality.

Recurrent gestational loss, i.e. they have had two or more consecutive miscarriages.

Over 40 years of age.

Likelihood of transmitting genetic diseases.

How are egg donors selected?

Potential donors undergo extensive medical and psychological testing, as well as a detailed survey of their background, lifestyle, and family medical history. They also undergo a complete gynecological examination and may undergo genetic testing to minimize the risk of inherited diseases.

Egg donation is anonymous and donors are between 18 and 33 years old. Our patients can specify the physical characteristics of the donor they are looking for, so that the specialist does a similar match. In addition, the blood group of the couple is taken into account in order to assign the most suitable donor.
