About her
Provider Amy Moore (APRN-CNM) is an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse and Certified Nurse Midwife. Her passion for caring for women and their families began during her obstetrical rotation with the Ben Taub Midwives while completing her RN training. She was deeply inspired by the compassion, dedication, and advocacy these providers demonstrated, particularly in caring for underserved populations. Their ability to truly listen, provide meaningful support, and improve outcomes, including reducing preterm birth rates, shaped her commitment to women’s health.
Originally from Missouri, she now considers herself a proud Texan. She began her healthcare career as a paramedic in 1995 after relocating to the Dallas–Fort Worth area. Driven to expand her role in patient care, she pursued nursing and earned her Associate Degree in Nursing, followed by a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington. She then completed her Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner training at UT Southwestern Medical Center, with clinical training at Parkland Health and Hospital System, where she cared for women across a wide range of clinical settings.
Her desire to provide comprehensive, continuous care for women led her to pursue midwifery training at The Midwifery Institute at Philadelphia University, where she earned her Master of Science in Midwifery. Through her training and years of clinical practice, she has had the privilege of supporting women through some of the most meaningful and transformative moments of their lives.
Her background in women’s health, pregnancy care and midwifery has given her a strong foundation in understanding the physical, emotional and personal aspects of building a family. She is committed to providing thoughtful, individualized care that supports women as they navigate their unique paths to parenthood. She believes that every patient deserves to feel heard, informed and empowered throughout their care.
She is licensed in the state of Texas as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) and Certified Nurse-Midwife (CNM), and she holds national certifications through the American Midwifery Certification Board and the National Certification Corporation.
She is honored to serve women and families in North Houston and surrounding communities. It is a privilege to support patients not only in their health across the lifespan, but also in their journey toward building the families they envision.
